David Gillespie

Mr Gillespie was appointed to the ActewAGL Joint Venture Partnerships Board on 1 September 2023. He is currently Managing Director at Jemena.

Mr Gillespie is an accomplished executive with more than 20 years’ experience in the Australian energy sector. He has a corporate finance background with extensive experience in stakeholder management and investor relations, complex transactions in capital markets, strategic investment management and corporate governance.

Mr Gillespie is currently a member of the Champions of Change Coalition - Energy Group, and on The B Team’s Climate Leaders Coalition CEO group. In addition, he is a Committee Member of the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute’s Audit, Finance and Risk Committee and a Non-Executive Director of the Victorian Clinical Genetics Services.

Mr Gillespie holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland and is a Chartered Accountant.
